Critical Reflective Practice is one of the most powerful tools an information worker can use throughout the course of their career as it asks us to analyze our assumptions, examine our biases, take into account our privileges; and shows us how they show up in our actions. Through written reflections, introspective activities, and discussion, students will see the threads that connect their beliefs to their actions, and find the places that need interruption or nurturing.
This course is designed to support all types of information workers in various fields and levels of experience.
Learning Outcomes:
• Define critical reflective practice
• Analyze systems of power and their effect on their attitudes
• Engage in introspective self-interrogation in order to affect change to their actions
• Determine their values and set them into their professional practice
